I am a librarian, musician, and creative writer based in Holyoke, MA. I am currently the Director of Collection Strategies and Acquisitions at Middlebury College. I have held previous librarian positions at Smith College, Mount Holyoke College, and the National Library of Medicine. I hold an MSLS from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast program.

I am writing a hybrid memoir that draws from my twenty-year struggle with complex chronic illness that went undiagnosed for over a decade and my experience as a medical librarian to examine epistemic injustice and knowledge production/formation in contemporary medicine. When not working or writing, I can be found playing music with my punk at heart, alt-country/rock band Julie Cira & The Wake.
